The Divemaster rating is for the diver who: likes to lead, seeks additional responsibility, has self-confidence in their diving skills, and has a desire to be a professional. Through this course the diver will develop watermanship skills, knowledge of diving theory, and practical experience in assisting, teaching, and supervising divers.
Divemaster training is demanding, both physically and mentally. Divemaster students will develop knowledge in the areas of; diver supervision, physics, physiology, equipment, diving skills, environment, and the recreational dive planner. Students will need to purchase several manuals and other professional material. for this course.
Prerequisites: Rescue diver, EFR, 60 dives by the conclusion of the course.
Duration: Knowledge development is mostly through self-study, and there are 10–15 hours of class time. Dives can be conducted in 6 to 8 diving days, but may take longer. |
