Knowledge Development: During this segment, the instructor will provide the students with all the basic information about each of the skills to be performed. The instructor will also perform each of the skills for the students.
Skill Development: During this segment, the students will learn the basic steps and sub-skills necessary to perform each of the required Eight Primary Care Skills and Four Secondary Care skills under the direct supervision of the instructor.
Scenario Practice: Emergency scenario practice allows the student to apply the skills they have learned to realistic situations. In each scenario, the student will be required to evaluate the scene, recall critical steps and take appropriate action. There will be Four Primary Care Scenarios and One Secondary Care Scenario. You will be required to demonstrate mastery of all skills to include completing the Primary Care and Secondary Care Final Written Examinations. Upon successful completion of all requirements, you will be given your Emergency First Response Certification.
